Speed Loop This terrific tour of Halfmoon Valley is great at any time. The terrain is gently rolling and the scenery bucolic. If peaches or apples are in season, be sure to stop by Way Fruit Farm; they usually sell fruit by the piece, so be sure to bring a dollar or two. This route is also the scene of one of the more regular scheduled rides in the area. This 'speed ride' departs from the corner of Nixon and Whitehall roads at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.
